While there has been a church at the site of Holy Sepulchre for much longer, the current building dates from c.1450 when it was ‘newly re-edified or builded’ by Sir John Popham. The walls, porch and most of the tower all date from this rebuilding.
The church was completely gutted in the Great Fire of London in 1666 and the interior had to be totally re-built, through work led by Sir Christopher Wren. The interior of the church has been changed several times since then, most recently in 1955.
This historic and timeless building is now open to host Livery Company meetings and dining events, offering a spacious capacity for 200 guests on top & springs or round tables. It seamlessly blends a remarkable City venue with exceptional catering and service, courtesy of Life’s Kitchen.
