Event of the Month The Annual Luncheon - Life's Kitchen
At Life’s Kitchen each event is different, that said we have a solid base of repeat clients who have annual events with us that come around each year and seemingly even quicker than the last (I am sure you know the feeling). November 2017 was no different…the team at LK enjoyed a day at Stationers Hall looking after the Printing Charity and their Annual luncheon.
A few words from the Charity….
We are proud of our heritage and have been supporting people working in the printing industry since 1827. The industry has grown beyond recognition since then with advances in graphics, print and media few could have imagined. Today the UK is the world’s fifth largest producer of printed products, with an estimated 8,600 companies delivering £13.5 billion of turnover and employing over 122,000 people. And yet, despite these advances, our charitable aims of promoting independence, protecting dignity and furthering education are as important today as they have always been.
To meet the needs of those we support and the sector we represent we have a dual focus: to provide financial and practical assistance to people working in the sector, and to encourage the future talent necessary to secure its future. We do this through our ‘Welfare & Wellbeing’ and ‘Education & Partnerships’ programmes.
