A Flavour-Packed Summer Under the Arches: Cyrus in the City wows at Glaziers Hall
This summer, the atmospheric Arches of Glaziers Hall, just a stone’s throw from London Bridge, played host to an unforgettable culinary pop-up: Cyrus in the City, presented in collaboration between Life’s Kitchen and the distinguished Chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE DL.
A Four-Week Sensation
From 30 July to 22 August 2025, Wednesday through Saturday, the venue came alive with aromatic spice, elegance, and enchanting ambience. Seating strictly limited guests, each three‑course lunch and four‑course dinner was booked, and for good reason!
Culinary Brilliance Meets Elevated Atmosphere
Guests embarked on a vibrant and well-balanced tasting journey that reflected Cyrus Todiwala’s flair for combining traditional Indian techniques with unexpected, delightful twists. Highlights included Smoked Gressingham Duck with Asian salad, Keralan Beetroot & Coconut Samosa Chaat (vegetarian), Kashmiri Roasted Chicken Korma, Masala Fried Seabass with Bombay coleslaw, and a Saffron & Cardamom Crème Brûlée to finish on a fragrant, indulgent note.
A thoughtfully stocked bar by Life’s Kitchen complemented the meal, offering both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to enhance the experience.
Rave Reviews and Energised Atmosphere
The pop-up received glowing feedback across the board. Guests praised not just the inventive menu, but also the seamless blend of historical charm, courtesy of the Hall’s Victorian Arches, with Cyrus Todiwala’s modern culinary vision. It was a rare trifecta: bold flavour, elegant presentation, and unforgettable venue. Life’s Kitchen and Glaziers Hall set the bar high for immersive fine dining experiences.
Why It Worked So Well
The success of Cyrus in the City came down to four key elements working in harmony. Exclusivity played a vital role, with limited seats creating demand and ensuring an intimate, high-touch experience for every guest. The culinary storytelling was equally powerful, as each dish felt both personal and polished, rooted in Cyrus’s rich heritage and adventurous spirit. The atmosphere of Glaziers Hall was more than just a backdrop; it brought character and authenticity to the evening, elevating the entire dining experience. Finally, the execution, from seamless bookings to attentive service, reflected the professionalism and passion of the collaboration between Cyrus, Glaziers’ Hall and Life’s Kitchen, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
In Short: A Resounding Success
Cyrus in the City wasn’t just an event; it was a statement: what happens when culinary excellence meets architectural elegance. It garnered glowing reviews and left a lasting impression that few pop-ups can match.
