City of London

Core hours:

Monday to Friday 09.00-17.30. Evenings and Weekends are required, Flexibility on hours is essential.

Job summary:

As Venue Based Sales Coordinator you will be leading the marketing of Life’s Kitchen and its various market sectors, whilst participating fully in the day to day duties and enquiry handling as part of the Life’s Kitchen Ltd sales team.

  • Responsibility for the preparation & accuracy of the company event sheets for the weekly function sheet pack. This will require communication with all clients, venue teams, sales team and directors to collaborate the relevant information
  • Responding to sales enquires and preparation of sales quotations & proposals
  • Executing the agreed proactive sales and marketing strategy for the relevant market sectors for Life’s Kitchen Ltd and its venues
  • Conducting venue site visits and menu tasting to new & existing clients
  • Meeting both Commercial and Livery clients to speak about confirmed and provisional events if the client requests.
  • Building client relationships; listening and understanding the client requirements and consistently meeting if not exceeding their expectations
  • Responding to emails regarding confirmed & provisional events in a timely and efficient manner
  • Finalising the event co-ordination and liaising directly with both the kitchen & operations team to make sure all events run smoothly.
  • Meeting and greeting clients/contacts at the beginning of their event to ensure a smooth transition to the operations manager
  • Supporting the Sales Team, Sales Manager and Company Directors though the preparation of event contracts & event sheets
  • Answering the central Life’s Kitchen telephone line demonstrating an excellent telephone manner
  • Liaising with the Finance Manager to ensure all events are invoiced correctly
  • Maintaining and updating the Life’s Kitchen Database
  • Using social media to promote Life’s Kitchen Ltd and its venues.

Who we are looking for:

  • You will have a minimum 2 years’ experience in the events management industry
  • You will be a talented and ambitious individual who has a passion for food
  • You will be an enthusiastic team player with great organisational and people skills
  • You will be efficient, detailed and highly productive individual with a proactive and flexible approach to workload
  • You will be an honest and good communicator/ negotiator Key Attributes:

  • Strong organisational skills
