Meet the team – Emily Lord
Emily joined Life’s Kitchen in June 2013 from an event staffing company, and hasn’t looked back since. Staffing was a small part of a much bigger process, and she knew that she wanted to be a lot more involved in the whole event process, hence why she was delighted to join Life’s Kitchen, to develop her career further.
Emily very much enjoys working in a busy environment where every day is different, and loves nothing more than getting into the nitty gritty of coordinating, and then seeing the event come together successfully.
Emily is based at Pewterers’ Hall and looks after all of the Worshipful Company of Pewterers’ events, as well as selling and coordinating the commercial events at the Hall. She also works with the many stunning venues within the Life’s Kitchen portfolio, and is our Wedding Coordinator. Emily says of her role, ‘I really enjoy the diversity of my days. One minute I am coordinating the audio visual equipment for a conference, and the next minute I am conducting a wedding tasting with a couple and their mums, and getting to know the whole family, and all of the family politics that goes hand in hand with a wedding’.
Emily’s favourite event since being with the company has been a Diwali themed Reception, which she planned twice for a client over two years. She loved the challenge of making it bigger and better the second year, and with a different venue, it was an exciting challenge to bring a completely different look and feel to the event.
Emily looks forward to lots more exciting challenges ahead, and lots more successful events.
