As we enter the busiest of Summer months the team at Life’s Kitchen Ltd are working harder than ever across our expanding company. Our new team at Painters’ Hall are already making an impact on our Company and we have enjoyed a seamless mobilisation at this wonderful venue as Life’s Kitchen Ltd took on the sole caterer contract from 1st June 2010. We welcome Steve, Rob and Laura to our team with great pleasure.

Join us at Watermen’s Hall for the Livery Wine & Dine Club 21st July 2010

The Livery Wine & Dine Club, produced in association with Bacchanalia, takes place on 21st July 2010 at Watermen’s Hall.
The ticket price for this event is only £49.95 per person, including VAT. This includes a brief talk on the venue and its history, followed by a delicious meal perfectly matched with wines provided by our friends at Bacchanalia. There is an opportunity to buy wine directly from Bacchanalia on the night, benefiting from some exclusive discounts.

The Worshipful Company of Stationers’ raise £60,000 for RNIB
Life’s Kitchen Ltd was delighted to support the Worshipful Company of Stationers’ by catering for their midsummer banquet in aid of the Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB).
The purpose of the event was to raise funds for the creation of new talking books and the event was attended by over 200 guests including number of celebrities supporting this fabulous cause.
Life’s Kitchen Ltd donated an auction prize in addition to catering and it was a real pleasure to hear the Master Richard Brewster announce that the funds raised would lead to the creation 120 new talking books. It was an honour to be involved.
Life’s Kitchen Ltd holds inaugural showcase luncheon at Painters’ Hall
To celebrate our launch at Painters’ Hall, Life’s Kitchen Ltd and the WCO Painter-Stainers’ jointly hosted a showcase lunch for clients and friends on 22nd June 2010. Guests enjoyed a delicious reception and lunch in this wonderful venue and a great time was had by all.
For several clients this was their first opportunity to view Painters’ Hall, whilst some guests were clients returning to Painters’ Hall to experience the venue and catering offer under the management of Life’s Kitchen Ltd.
We have received absolutely phenomenal feedback from the attendees of this lunch, and over £35,000 of new business confirmed at Painters’ Hall within seven days of the showcase luncheon.

Christmas 2010 with Life’s Kitchen Ltd

The River Thames Lunch Club 2010

The remaining dates for the River Thames Lunch Club (RTLC) at Watermen’s Hall are filling up fast, with both September 2010 and the first Christmas RTLC completely SOLD OUT!
Our remaining dates and the 2011 calendar and booking instructions are all available via the Life’s Kitchen Ltd website. Early booking is strongly advised for the remaining luncheons in 2010.
Recipe of the Month July 2010
Try this delicious soup as a summer starter or for lunch on a hot day!
Chilled Gazpacho Soup Serves four
Ingredients 1 red pepper 1 green pepper Half an onion 1 cucumber that has been skinned 1 crushed clove of garlic 1 x Red Chilli 6 x ripe tomatoes that have been de-seeded 1x tin of chopped tomatoes 125mls of extra virgin oil 4 tablespoons of red wine vinegar Salt and pepper to season Chopped Basil for the garnish Crispy warmed bread roll to serve
Method Skin the cucumber and slice it down the middle. Remove the seeds.
Peel the peppers and remove the seeds and core.
Dice half of the pepper and half of the red pepper. Set aside.
Blend and liquidise the remaining red pepper and cucumber with the tomatoes, onion, green pepper, olive oil and the red wine vinegar. Season as required.
Sieve the liquid into a large bowl and place in a refrigerator for at least one hour.
Once the soup has cooled or just as you are about to serve the soup ladle portions into pre chilled bowls.
Add the remaining chopped red pepper and cucumber to each bowl and garnish with the chopped Basil and Some Olive Oil.
You can Add more Chilli if you like things spicier!!
