Life’s Kitchen Ltd appointed sole caterer at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall
Life’s Kitchen Ltd is immensely proud to announce that we have been appointed sole caterer to Tallow Chandlers Hall with a new five year contract commencing 1st August 2010.
This appointment follows a rigorous, three month tender process in which Life’s Kitchen Ltd beat several other competitors to win the contract.
The Tallow Chandlers’ Hall, Grade I listed building, was built in 1672 after the destruction of the original hall during the Great Fire of London. Having survived the Blitz, it is one of the few Livery Halls to remain unchanged since the 17th Century. The hall has a capacity of 97 for luncheon or dinner.
Commenting on the contract award, Life’s Kitchen Ltd managing director Nicholas Levens said “This contract win is wonderful news for Life’s Kitchen Ltd, and a real testament to our policy of creating bespoke venue solutions for our venues. We are well aware that the real hard work starts now and are busy developing a range of packages and initiatives at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall that will create a step change in the quality and service offered at this venue. Livery Quartet becomes QUINTET with Tallow Chandlers’ Hall appointment
Following the appointment of Life’s Kitchen Ltd as sole caterer at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall, we are delighted to confirm that the Livery Quartet offer to Nomadic Livery Companies is now extended to Tallow Chandlers’ Hall for all events taking place after 1st September 2010.
The Livery Quartet initiative has been a tremendous success since its inception in 2009, with over a dozen nomadic livery companies placing over £100,000 of events with Life’s Kitchen Ltd across all participating venues. The addition of the prestigious Tallow Chandlers’ Hall, with its existing relationships with several nomadic livery companies, can only enhance this offer through 2010 and beyond.
The fixed price offer at £72.50 including VAT is available at Tallow Chandlers’ Hall based on a minimum of 70 attendees and any Livery Quartet clients must book a minimum of two events (at any combination of venues) in a calendar year. Life’s Kitchen Ltd retains ISO 9001 accreditation following annual inspection
We are delighted to report that Life’s Kitchen Ltd retained its ISO 9001 award accreditation following the annual inspection during April 2010.
This accreditation tests the quality management systems throughout the Life’s Kitchen Ltd organisation, from the way we source and manage our product and suppliers to our in-house training and staff development programmes. Awarded by the International Organization for Standardization, The ISO 9001:2008 standard provides a tried and tested framework for taking a systematic approach to managing the organization's processes so that they consistently turn out product that satisfies customers' expectations.

Chocolate Fondant Pudding with Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
Makes 12 portions
Ingredients
500g Dark Chocolate
500g Unsalted Butter
10 Eggs
10 Yolks
250g Castor Sugar
100g plain flour
1 tbl spoon Cocoa Powder
Method
Line 12 moulds (Ramekin size) with butter and cocoa powder.
Melt together chocolate and butter.
Whisk together eggs and sugar.
Add chocolate mix and egg mix.
Fold in flour.
Split evenly between moulds
Cook 180c for 12 mins.
Serve with a scoop of Vanilla Bean Ice Cream and enjoy!
