Life’s Kitchen MD Nick Levens updates us on his marathon training
“As announced in the last issue of Life’s News, I am participating in the 2008 Flora London Marathon in aid of our 2008 adopted charity, the Make a Wish Foundation. For the statisticians amongst you, here are the details of my training to date:
Since December 2007, I have built up my training gradually to the point where I am now running about thirty miles per week. My long runs are now over half-marathon distance and getting easier, and I will step up the distances through March in the final few weeks of training.
I have lost just over one stone in weight since training commenced, and those of you who queried my sanity will also be surprised to know that I have been teetotal since January 6th 2008 as part of my training.
What I really need now is some support with sponsorship – The Make a Wish Foundation is a wonderful charity that really makes a difference to the lives of some very seriously ill children and their families. Please visit www.justgiving.com/nicklevens and give whatever you can.
