Nick’s Running Again.............
Nick Levens-Managing Director of Life’s Kitchen Ltd-is once again pulling on the running shoes for Charity!
Nick is participating in the Woburn Abbey Jog in aid of the British Heart Foundation on Sunday 4th October 2009.
This is the second year Nick has participated in this event, designed to raise awareness and raise money for the excellent work the British Heart Foundation does. Heart disease is still the number one killer in the UK, accounting for an astonishing one in five deaths in men and one in six deaths in women in the UK each year.
Nick’s own son Noah was born with severe congenital heart defects and endured three bouts of open heart surgery in 2008 during the first five months of his life.
Nick comments.........”This is a great event for a great charity. I know from personal experience that the work done by the British Heart Foundation makes a vital contribution to the fight against heart disease in the UK, and also in the quest to understand why congenital heart defects occur and how we can eradicate them.”
Anyone that feels able to make a donation to the BHF in recognition of Nick’s run should visit www.bhf.org.uk/donate
