The River Thames Lunch Club Confirms 2010 Dates
Watermen’s Hall-in association with their resident caterer Life’s Kitchen Ltd-is delighted to announce the dates for the River Thames Lunch Club for 2010. This monthly lunch club has built up a tremendously loyal client base since its inception in 2006, and regularly sells out some weeks in advance. Open to everyone on a pre-booked basis, The River Thames Lunch Club offers outstanding food and service and real value for money-a genuinely unique dining environment far removed from a “typical” City restaurant. Livery Quartet Events launch to tremendous acclaim
Following the launch of the Livery Quartet earlier this year, Life’s Kitchen Ltd carried out its first Livery Quartet events recently. The feedback from these events was outstanding, with the Master of one of the Livery Companies concerned describing their evening as “One of the best events we have ever had”.
The Livery Quartet offer-managed by Life’s Kitchen Ltd in conjunction with Stationers’ Hall, Salter’s Hall, Brewers’ Hall and Watermen’s Hall-delivers a complete Livery package to nomadic Livery Companies including venue hire, full food and beverage package and venue outmess service. each venue is based on a minimum number arrangement to suit Companies of all sizes, and at a guaranteed all inclusive price of £72.50 per person including VAT the Livery Quartet offer has generated tremendous interest with the Livery environment, with some fifteen events booked between now and October 2010.

Christmas in July with Life’s Kitchen Ltd at Stationers’ Hall
Life’s Kitchen Ltd-in partnership with Stationers’ Hall-have put together an excellent range of packages for Christmas 2009 at this premier City Venue. This offer was showcased recently at Stationers’ Hall in a very convivial and interesting lunch hosted jointly by Stationers’ Hall and Life’s Kitchen Ltd. Whilst the sight of Abi Cater from Staar Productions singing “The Christmas Song” in the Garden at Stationers’ Hall on a boiling July afternoon was somewhat surreal (!), the Showcase afternoon was a real hit with clients, a number of whom are now planning their Christmas event at Stationers’ Hall with Life’s Kitchen Ltd. Recipe of the Month July 2009

Roasted Vegetables with Parma Ham Starter Serves Two
Ingredients 1 x Courgette 1 x Aubergine (small) 1 x Red Pepper 1 x Yellow Pepper 1 x clove of garlic 4 x Slices of Parma Ham 1 x Bunch Wild Rocket 5 ml Balsamic Syrup 10 ml Olive oil 2 x Sprigs of Basil Seasoning salt and pepper
Method Slice the courgette, Aubergine and cut the peppers into 12 pieces each, place on a tray pour over the olive oil and season.
Chop the clove of garlic and mix with the veg, roast in an oven for 12 minutes at 180’c, when done leave to one side to cool.
Put two slices of Parma ham together and wrap around to make a rose shape, put to one side, then wash and dry the rocket.
To plate, using a round cutter (7in) place inside and stack the vegetables, remove ring, place ham rose on top, and arrange the rocket around it.
Drizzle the balsamic over the rocket, and garnish with the basil.
