A warm "welcome back" to all our clients and friends as we return to "all systems go" following the holiday season. Judging by the level of activity already booked in, it’s going to be a very busy final third of 2006.

New Venues
Life’s Kitchen Ltd is delighted to announce it has secured the rights to provide catering services and event management services at two further venues in the City of London

Ironmongers Hall is a fabulous historic hall located just off London Wall in the heart of the city. The Banqueting Hall at Ironmongers Hall is an impressive room in which to hold a lunch or dinner for between twenty and one hundred and fifty guests. The Ironmongers Company can trace its routes back to 1300AD, and the windows, ceiling and panelling of the banqueting hall record in heraldic imagery the association of some eminent men with both the Ironmongers Company and the City of London.

Saddlers’ Hall is situated on Gutter Lane just off Cheapside; The Great Hall at Saddlers Hall is, quite simply, one of the most elegant venues in the City of London and Saddlers Hall also benefits from three smaller and highly flexible Front Rooms that can be used individually or as a single space.

Christmas 2006 
Santa’s grotto has opened at Harrods & Selfridges and the Christmas department at all major supermarkets have been open for weeks. If you haven’t booked your Christmas party yet you would be forgiven for thinking you may have left it too late.

Burns Night 2007
Believe it or not, two of Life’s Kitchen venues have already confirmed their requirements for Burns Night (25th January 2007) with us - it looks like the bagpipe players are going to have a very busy evening.

For something extra special on Burns’ Night, why not consider combining your event with a malt whisky tasting. Life’s Kitchen Ltd have secured a very limited supply of some of the finest malt whisky available (including a very limited supply of Laphroaig 1960 for the ultra-serious), and can even arrange a tutored tasting session as part of your event

Watermen’s Hall Re-opens
Life’s Kitchen is delighted to confirm that Watermen’s Hall is now open for business following a summer-long period of closure for building and maintenance works.

Watermen’s Hall-at which Life’s Kitchen Ltd is the preferred caterer-is the only Georgian Hall still operating in London, and can cater for lunches and dinners for up to 75 people and receptions for 120.

To celebrate the re-opening of Watermen’s Hall, Life’s Kitchen Ltd and The Company of Watermen & Lightermen are jointly hosting an "open house" on 10th October 2006 starting at 12 noon. This event will be an opportunity to visit Watermen’s Hall, tour the facility and sample Life’s Kitchen famous bowl food lunch offer-ideal for maximising networking opportunities during your next event.

First Class Claret
Life’s Kitchen Ltd has secured availability of a strictly limited supply of outstanding Claret which is available for extra special events or private purchase. This stock is available on a first come, first served basis and a minimum order of twelve bottles is required. If you are looking to impress a very special client or simply want to stock up your own cellar, stock of this quality rarely comes on the market and is ready for drinking now

Life’s newest arrival
Many, many congratulations to Dave Pay (Director of Food at Life’s Kitchen) and his wife Amanda on the birth of their daughter, Nieve, over the Summer. Both mother and baby are doing well, and Nieve is a sister for Teddy, who by all accounts is already becoming the over protective older brother!
